Advanced Open Water

The next step in your continuing education is the Advanced Open Water certification. Certain dives are sometimes limited to divers with this certification.

What will I do?
You will brush up all your basic scuba skills as well as practice the skills for the individual specialties you choose. The practice dives in the pool help you become a more confident and capable diver. Best of all, you’ll be diving…logging bottom time, meeting new people and having fun.

What does the cost include?
The price of this course includes air fees, books, pool time and instruction. Equipment rental, dive fees, boat fees and entries to scuba parks are not included. We, do, however, offer a discounted student rate for equipment rental of $30 for the weekend...and don't forget you are eligible for our student discount of 15% on all scuba equipment while enrolled in this class.

What specialties can be included?
You’ll experience a Deep Adventure Dive, an Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive, as well as three more Adventure Dives of your choice. Not all adventure dives are available throughout the whole year. Check with one of our store staff to create an Advanced Open Water experience uniquely designed for you.

What will I need to bring to class?
You should bring a swimsuit and towel to class everyday. You may get in the water! You should also have read the Deep Diver and Underwater Navigator sections in your Adventures in Diving book as well as three other sections that interest you. The knowledge reviews at the end of each section are required as well.
