Joseph Sasala, President
PADI Dive Master

Well, it all started back in 1997 in the Republic of Panama where I learned to dive. It has been a awesome ride ever since. I am currently a PADI DiveMaster and Master Scuba Diver as well as a SSI Master Scuba Diver. As the president of Rec Tec Scuba I am committed to your safe and enjoyable experience scuba diving.

My experience: I have logged over 300 dives from as far north as New Jersey to as far south as Roatan, Honduras. I do so love wreck diving; I have dove wrecks such as The Hyde, The Markham, The Rosin Wreck (S.S. Runa??), The Ore Wreck, The Papoose (or The Hutton depending on who you ask), The Cassimir, The City of Houston, USCGC Duane, The Spiegel Grove, and the piece de resistance, both the U-352 and the U-85. I also like to rinse the salt out of my gear in the freshwater caverns of North Florida. No dive log is complete without quarry dives (lots and lots of them). Hey, my opinion is that it is a awesome training area. There are few distractions and unless there is lightning, it is always open. I’m sort of a creature of habit and enjoy revisiting the same dive sites; however, if you come up with a new dive trip I haven’t scheduled, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Remember a bad day of diving is better than a good day at work.
